Is Faster Better? Or is it Just Faster?

After last night’s news about Michael Jackson’s passing, everyone is once again praising the speed of the internet, blogs, and Twitter for trumping traditional media in delivering the news. Gossip site TMZ broke the news and it swirled around Twitter for hours before CNN would even confirm the story themselves. But was this another example [...]

Why Facebook is Failing Me

Don’t get me wrong, I love Facebook as much as the next guy, but lately I can’t help but feel like it’s not living up to my needs. The problem? I want to use Facebook both professionally and personally. I want my one Facebook account to serve both my “real life” friends and those [...]

The sessions I attended were great. Even when I ventured out [...]

After Kevin read about my pre-problogging background here, he thought that my journey from office I.T. drone to full-time blogger would be of interest to his [...]

And We’re Back…Sorta

If you follow my blog via RSS or email and had wondered what had happened to my site, then you must have missed the story I documented via Twitter and FriendFeed last week. The shortest explanation is that my dear ol’ dad accidentally killed my website, but the longer story involves a tale of [...]

So…I’m Going to DEMO

Note: This is a personal update. For those of you who read this blog solely for info about new web apps, you can skip this post.
Since Marshall will be getting married in September (congrats!), I will be going to this year’s DEMO conference as ReadWriteWeb’s representative. I have just one thing to say: Sweet! [...]

Being Productive on Facebook

Let’s just say…thank goodness I didn’t go into podcasting…
