makeofficebetter Two Microsoft employees, Steve Zaske and Luke Foust, have launched a website called MakeOfficeBetter which encourages visitors to (constructively) share their ideas for how Microsoft Office can improve. Here, site visitors can post their own ideas and review the ideas shared by others. Similar to how Digg.com lets you vote up stories you like, MakeOfficeBetter also employs a voting system. To show your support for someone’s idea, you just click the “+ me” button to add your vote. In order for your vote to count, though, you’ll have to create an account and log in first. However, this process is painless thanks to the site’s support for OpenID.

A tag cloud on the right lets you browse by keyword and links at the top let you switch your focus to just one of the Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and OneNote. A search box is also available for finding out if you idea has already been posted.

MakeOfficeBetter is not an “official” Microsoft website, meaning you won’t get a response from the company by posting your idea here. However, Steve and Luke says they’ll “do their best to get the ideas posted here in front of the right people” on the Office team. So go vote now!
