    Great list! Thank you for all of that work.

    You may have intentionally left off some of the obvious ones, like Yahoo! widgets (http://widgets.yahoo.com/) and Google gadgets (http://www.google.com/webmasters/gadgets/).

    Also, Clearspring (www.clearspring.com) is a great widget site for grabbing widgets or creating your own.

    Finally, hope you don’t mind if I put in a little plug for my widget blog, widgetBeat (www.widgetBeat.net).

  7. Hey Now Sarah,
    That is a good list. I also was wondering if you know of an add in for XP to use the functionality that vista has for this feature. When pressing the windows button & a number for instance windows button + 2 that will open the second app listed in the quick launch? You always have great post & I’ve looked for this & haven’t found it maybe if you know about you could post about it.
