LinkedIn Goes Mobile
For a service that’s primarily used by Crackberry-addicted professionals, it sure did take LinkedIn a long time to launch a mobile version, but one has finally arrived. The multilanguage WAP version of LinkedIn can be found by going to m.linkedin.com on your phone’s mobile browser. This scaled down version offers search, the ability to view your profile, and the ability to view your contacts and updates. From your phone you can invite other members and forward job postings. Still in the works is the ability to reply to job postings or update your own profile.
Oh and by the way, despite all the blogs covering this new mobile site with pictures of how great it looks on a iPhone, let’s get real - corporate users don’t use iPhones for business (their IT Net Admins forbid it!), it’s more likely that the way most users will see looks more like the image here (borrowed from Webware), kudos to them for a realistic screenshot.

PictoBrowser
PictoBrowser is a web app that lets you quickly and easily create photo galleries that can be added to your website or blog. To use PictoBrowser, just click the PictoBrowser logo on any PictoBrowser you see or go online to their website, enter your flickr username, choose your set, tag, or group, and the HTML code will be generated which you then post to your site.
How easy is it? I made my first PictoBrowser in literally, 5 seconds. In 10 seconds, I had customized it so it would fit here.
Foigo.com - Custom Surveys, Forms, and Databases
Foigo.com is a service which you can use to create customizable forms, surveys, or databases. You can choose to start from scratch or use one of the many templates provided. Your forms can be customized with checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-down menus, and text fields. When you visit the site, you can choose to "take the tour," or skip right ahead to try out the service. When you’ve created the form or survey you want, foigo will create the code for you to use. foigo could be offering something cool here, but boy do they need a web designer. The poor site design and usability almost overrides the content, so instead of being excited to try it, I just read through it and moved on.
Xdrive Lite
Xdrive Lite is a new Adobe AIR app that was just launched today. With this client application, Xdrive users can upload files and folders to the online Xdrive web storage service right from the desktop. When logged into the Xdrive Lite app, everything in your Xdrive folder is shown within the app in the upper portion of the window, and below this is a local browser. Uploading files and folders is as easy as dragging and dropping them from one pane to the other. A Transfers section allows you to view the progress of the uploads and downloads. The app can also be used to share files with your friends through email, or by grabbing the embed code or file link. You can download it here. Record Podcasts from Your Phone
Cinch is new service (with a sparse webpage) that lets you record podcasts from your phone. Now, I can’t imagine that we’re talking about stellar audio quality here, but talk about ease-of-use! To use Cinch, all you need to do is phone a number and start talking. You don’t have to visit the website, you don’t have to "create an account," or log in anywhere - just call! Cinch records your phone call as an mp3, which is published with a custom feed address that includes the number you called from. So, for example, if you called from 555-123-4567, your Cinch feed would be available from http://cinch.blogtalkradio.com/5551234567. (You can always burn a new feed at Feedburner). Cool, huh? I can actually see all kinds of uses for this - reminders to yourself, recordings you want to sync to your iPod, brief interviews, informal corporate communications, driving directions you can play back when you’re in the car, etc.
