I attempted to run a Nanoscan on Vista SP1, Firefox 2.0.0.12, BSOD when scan reaches 19%. Even if it is a Vista problem, it still doesn't work.

I thought of that before posting... it does the same on both of the Vista machines I use. One of those machines hasn't bluescreened with Vista since early in the Vista beta, and one of them did it only once before. My point - this OS is typically rock solid on these machines. Maybe its a Cultural thing (Technical not ethical Culture - I'm not in the US) or its just one of those tools that doesn't work on machines that aren't set as EN-US, but it doesn't work here.
Thanks for the suggestion though, but I'm good with AV software :-)

Well, to make sure that it's actually the software and not, oh, say...Vista, you may want to try an alternate virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Nice, I went there and downloaded the component and it bluescreened my installation. Have Vista and SP1 installed. Definitely needs to be avioded.
