YouTube Mobile
YouTube launched a new mobile service that can be used on 3G phones that support video streaming, which is about 100 million devices, according to YouTube. In addition to watching videos, YouTube mobile users can view their own Favorites, Videos, and Channels, as well as rate and comment on videos . They will also be able to upload video directly from their mobile device. The YouTube mobile site can be accessed from m.youtube.com.
YouTube also announced a Java version of YouTube for Mobile that will work on some J2ME and MIDP2 phones with streaming video capabilities. The service, currently in beta is available in US and UK English only and supports the following phones, with, hopefully, more to come in the future:
* Sony Ericsson k800, w880
* Nokia e65, n95, n73, 6110 navigator and 6120 classic
If your phone is one of those listed, going to m.youtube.com will prompt you to download the app.
