A word of warning – Busted Tees may have a serious great collection of hip tee-shirts, but you may want to pay with a credit card that has fraud protection to be safe. A while back, I impulse-bought a shirt online from their website, but it was the wrong size. I taped the package back up, slapped on the label and sent it back after filling out the exchange form. Halfway into my vacation (returning the shirt was the last errand I took care of before a well-deserved beach week), I realized that I was supposed to include a $6.00 check for exchanging an item (kind of a rip-off, but whatever). I waited a while, thinking that when they received the return, they would contact me for the additional money in order to process my return. They did, after all, have all my contact information on the form. Since I never heard from them, after a reasonable period of time, I contacted their orders department via the email address published on their website. I included all my information again. I have yet to hear back. The email was sent on October 24th, 2007. I guess they really wanted their $6.00. Well, I’d like the $19.98 I spent back (shirt -$13.99 & shipping – $5.99), but since that’s obviously not happening, hopefully I can cost them a sale or two by posting this online.

Hey Now Sarah,
I’m boycotting Busted Tees forever! I won’t even click on a Google add on their page.
Thx 4 the info,
Catto
Always good to use a credit card, no matter which one it is. You can always contest the charge. American Express is the best card to use, for this very reason.
I like Busted Tees, but there have been alot of complaints about their service. They don’t ship their own shirts – they use a fulfillment service. And they’re owned by IAC Interactive, which is owned by billionaire media mogul Barry Diller. They have bigger things to worry about that your t-shirt (which is why they suck!)
Q
That does suck. I love that dramatic look t-shirt and I was considering getting one of my own, but if the service is as bad as you say it is then I’m not going to mess with it.
Thanks for the support!
I made the mistake of trying to exchange two shirts for another size. I bought them in late Nov as Xmas gifts. They were received by Busted Tees on Dec 6 via UPS. It is now Dec 19 and the shirts are nowhere to be found. I even included the $6 check, along with a detailed letter including contact info, item #’s, order #’s, etc. I have sent 7+ emails and called their customer care # repeatedly. The only thing I get back is “we will forward your message to the shipping department and they will be in contact.” So far, not a peep from anyone. Busted Tees is a complete rip off – I have already called my credit card company to dispute the charges.
I’m gonna give a “here here” here. On December 1, 2007 I ordered a t-shirt for a gift exchange. It arrived on the 8th (a Saturday) and it was the wrong shirt. Wrong size, wrong color, wrong design. I started calling on Monday 12/10, and have been told each time that the ONLY thing anyone can do is forward my complaint on to their customer service department, and someone will get back to me.
It’s now 12/19 (6 days before Christmas, if you’re counting) and I’ve called 4 times, e-mailed 3 times, and received not a single call to resolve it. There seems to be plenty of folks who answer the phone (and take your money), but nobody – and I mean NOBODY sees the Great Oz somewhere behind the curtain with the ironic slogan on it. They give stonewall a new meaning. You CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE other than the sales rep on the front lines.
I’ve told them that if they don’t get the correct tee to me by Christmas, I don’t want it and they will have to refund for everything, including shipping charges, and also have to pay to have this shirt returned if they want it back.
It’s a shame – they have fun t-shirts. You wouldn’t expect a company like this to be run by a bunch of @ssholes.
If you can find it elsewhere, get it elsewhere. If this is the only place that has the shirt you want. Try to find it elsewhere.
In the future, perhaps try this site first or instead of bustedtees.com:
http://brownturtle.com/
And one more thing about Bustedtees.com – if you’d like to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, bbb.org, use this phone number to locate the business: 212-625-0668
I feel your pain. I ordered 3 shirts back in mid November and they never even arrived. I needed these shirts by last weekend. I was in contact with them three times before I needed them and each time they said they would ship them out right away. But never did. Finally my buddies birthday past so I just contacted them about a refund. Its been over a week and that hasn’t happened. Currently writing my last email to them, if I don’t see the refund post by the 26th I am just issuing a charge back and reporting them to the BBB. Honestly should have looked up their record on there first before I ordered.
I know – I should have too! If I had taken the time I would have realized they have a terrible rating. Lesson learned!
Add me to the list of people who got screwed by BustedTees. I placed my order in time for Christmas. It’s now the 27th of Dec., and my brother is still waiting for his gift.
I tried to order one tee from their site, it arrived with damage. It has been a month since I first placed the order, the replacement has yet shown up.
I have documented my experience here:

BustedTees
I ordered from bustedtees a month ago
and still havnt recieved my shirts /
they dont respond to me and wont give me my refund .
i wouldnt even rate them a 1 .
Add me to the “Screwed By Bustedtees” list. Something tells me this list is going to get a lot longer.
I’ve been screwed by Busted Tees too. I ordered a shirt back in September. It was to small so I sent it back for a different size. It is now January and I still haven’t received my shirt. I contacted them about four times and every time they say someone is going to call me from their corp office. No ever calls me back. I made my last attempt today with their customer service. If I don’t get a respond from them I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
Everyone I have had great sucess with this website applmarket.com, they sell limited edition tee shirts and have great customer service, only thing is that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get your shirt, but well worth and always on time. Well hope this helps, cause I love their site
bye
I run a popular T-Shirt site and whenever a return needs to be made, we simply allow the customer to keep the original T-Shirt and we send them a replacement product for free (free shipping as well).
I won’t name our site, so people don’t exploit our kindness. I am just putting it out there.
This was not a rip off, just and example of quite an original approach to possible clients:
Mail 1 to support@bustedtees.com:
Hi,
I have put 4 Tees to my shopping cart and realized
that Czech Republic is not on the address list.
Is there really no way to have them sent here?
With regards
Martin
Mail 2 from support@bustedtees.com:
Yes. We ship everything by FedEx International Priority, which takes 2-3 days to arrive.
For Canada, the shipping is $17.99 for the first item, $3.00 for each additional item.
For International, $19.99 for the first item, $5.00 for each additional item.
Mail 3 to support@bustedtees.com:
Hi, thank you for your response. However, I was not able to choose Czech Republic on the PayPal checkout site even though FedEx has got a branch office here (phone: +420 233 053 200).
Could you please let me know when this choice is available?
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Martin
Mail 4 from jessica@bustedtees.com:
We do not ship there.
Thank you
Mail 5 to jessica@bustedtees.com:
Reason?
Thank you.
Mail 6 from jessica@bustedtees.com:
Because we just dont. I do not know what the reason is for Busted Tees not shipping there. We are the fulfillment company.
Mail 7 to jessica@bustedtees.com:
Funny seing the “Prague – Czech it out” T-shirt being shipped to Hungary, Romania, Slovenia or wherever but Czech republic. Your business, your money.
With disappointment
Martin
Mail 8 from jessica@bustedtees.com:
Not my business or money
OK then, how about http://www.cafepress.com/.
More links welcome.
Bye
Busted Tees Stole My Money
I ordered some shirts and the quality was horrible. I asked them to cancel one of my orders and jessica@bustedtees.com responded with a series of rude emails. She also said I would be responsible for the shipping charges. Watch out for this company
Windows XP SP3 (KB936929) v5.1.2600.5512 RTM English Stanadalone Installer Leaked Download (HTTP and BT Torrent)
I ordered 4 shirts in Dec 11th to give as christmas gifts because according to the site they would be shipped the next day using 3 day shipping from ups.
Dec 20th i emailed them asking where my shirts were, no response!
Dec. 23rd I email again, no response!!!
Dec. 24th after UPS truck passed by my house I knew my shirts weren’t going to make it in time so i opened a paypal claim.
Finally I get a short email from bt on Dec. 28th saying sorry we don’t have the shirts anymore even though when I ordered them their counter said they had plenty. So I ask for my money back. they said it would be 3 days to give me my money back. This is day 5 and they still have my money. I’ve escelated the dispute to a claim with paypal. Hope I get my money back.
