Rejoice, IM’ers! Meebo, the ever-popular online IM web service, which lets you IM people on your buddy list without the need for client software, has just released the meebo Firefox extension. With this extension, you’ll get a sidebar with all of your buddies visible while you’re browsing, and this list can be hidden with a shortcut button that’s placed in your browser’s toolbar. When your friends IM you, you’ll receive visual notifications. If you want to share content you find around the web with your buddies, you can easily drag links or bits of text & images from other webpages into a chat session to share it.
