Jott the Candidates

jott-the-vote Jott, a mobile phone service I covered back in September, is launching a cool new feature: Jott the Vote! This free service lets you share your views with the presidential candidates. By leveraging Jott technology, the company will send your message is to the Presidential campaigns of your choice. To use Jott the Vote, register for a jott account, then call 1 (866) JOTT-123, say a Presidential candidate’s name, and start speaking. Like with any jottt, your voice will be transcribed into text and sent both as an email and a voice file to the candidate’s public email address. Additionally your message will be displayed publicly on jottthevote.com. You’ll notice on the service’s homepage, opinions and jotts that other users have sent are listed and can be voted on by giving them either a thumbs-up or thumb-down. You can also snag some Jott widgets of your favorite candidates that display the candidate’s photo and the most recent jotts sent to them. You should be aware that there are no guarantees that you will receive a response from any of the candidates that you jott any more so than if you sent them an email yourself; jott simply gives you a new way to communicate while also participating in a fun, social network environment.
