Fight Crime with Widgets

You know blog widgets are getting popular when even the FBI starts getting into the act! Recently, the FBI released four widgets to help fight terrorism and stop crime. The widgets are: “Wanted by the FBI,” “Predators & Missing Persons,” “FBI News,” and “FBI History.” Although the last two seem to be just for FBI fanboys, the first two actually show some potential for fighting crime. Unfortunately, the widgets don’t include rotating photos or pictures of current criminals or missing persons; instead, they have a static photo with a link list underneath which takes you to the FBI site for more info. However, it is nice to see the government at least trying to embrace new technology. (via Mashable)
