OpenID Launches New Site

Sarah Perez on October 10th, 2007

openid OpenID, the service that lets you login to websites using a single identity, has launched a cleaner, more modern website which states what OpenID is, where you can use it, and how you can get one. The site focuses on explaining OpenID to the masses, using easy-to-understand language and a simple navigation structure. With the new look and message, the open source community behind OpenID hopes to attract even more users to their growing movement. You may be surprised to know that you already have an OpenID. If you use AOL, LiveJournal, Technorati, WordPress, Vox, SmugMug, LiveDoor, or Orange (French telecom), then you’re in! Otherwise, you can get one from one of the recommended providers or, for the truly geeky, you can make your own OpenID! If you’ve ever been curious about OpenID, the new website is worth checking out.

It’s also great that myID.net has been added to the recommended providers list. Please, feel free to visit our blog and tell us what you think.
