Ebay Bans Google Checkout

It’s official. Ebay is scared. They certainly don’t want to lose their Paypal business to Google Checkout. You know what I think? I think they have every right to allow or disallow whatever services they want on their own site. However, to pretend that it isn’t about money is just disingenous. EBay’s Safe Payments policy states that a payment service must have a "substantial historical track record of providing safe and reliable financial and/or banking related services." So, they’re just looking out for us, right? Yeah right. They’re loooking out for themselves. Their policy should just state instead: "Google Checkout will not be permitted at Ebay because it could cause us to lose lots of money."
