Gmail_13I woke up this morning to an unexpected surprise – there is now a "delete" button for my Gmail. Yes! A delete button! This has been the one feature that has been hard to live without, and now I don’t have to. I think Gmail may now be perfect.

Yeah. They’ve had it for a couple weeks.

Seems like something they would have thought of a while ago.

My guess: People were queasy about not being able to permanently delete their e-mails.

Weeks?! According to the blogosphere, most people just got theirs yesterday or today.

There’s been a delete feature for a while now. Just took an extra step to put in the Trash folder, then delete. All they really did was remove that one step.

Right, it was in a drop-down menu — now it’s an actual button. This is new and quite the improvement!

  5. John says:

The Delete button is quite an improvement. If only the trash would really go away after 30 days….

    Gosh, its about time!

Gmail will not be perfect until it gets a ‘Mark as Read’/'Mark as Unread’ button.

Yes, I know this can be achieved using Firefox & Greasemonkey, but still..
