iGoogle

Igoogle_2
Last week, the personalized Google homepage re-branded itself as iGoogle. Although I never understood its previous name, "Google IG," iGoogle sounds like an Apple product. The homepage itself hasn’t changed - it’s still offering all the best widgets, feeds and themes. Plus, Classic Home users will see a link to "iGoogle" on the main Google search page where it used to say "Personalized Home." I wonder if the re-branding will lead to more sign-ups?

  1. I think unofficially, everyone knew that the “ig” in google.com/ig stood for iGoogle. It’s just that it’s official now.

  2. That’s pretty cool. I’ve had gmail for almost 3 years and haven’t messed with any of the other settings. Thanks for the tip!
