iPod Nano Lawsuit

Sarah Perez on October 31st, 2005

Nano2A class-action lawsuit has been filed claiming the Nano scratched "excessively during normal usage" and also claimed that Apple released the Nano knowing the problems. Apple claims that yes, some screens did crack too easily, but blamed this on vendor quality problems. I guess I’m glad I have my mini instead!

  1. I guess it all depends on what we define as “normal usage”. I have had my iPod for over three years now, and it’s worked like a champ. It’s been dropped, kicked, splashed, jabbed, tugged and poked, and it still works every time.

My iPod also doesn’t look like the one in the photo. I’d like to think we take some pride in our possessions - especially the ones we pay hundreds of dollars for, like an iPod.

I don’t suppose there will ever be an end to the frivolous lawsuits in this country …

  2. I dig your blog too. And you have been del.icio.us linkrolled.

  3. The nano in that picture was purposelay damaged to check the durability of it ie:running it over with a car

  4. Yes, I realize that picture is a bit extreme…but it gets your attention and goes well with the post!
