<description>In response to Brandie's comment of "Half the people who wear them could care less about it being charitable- they wear them because they're in fashion. Sad." actually Brandie, it's not sad at all. Who cares what their personal reasons are? As long as people are buying them their money is being donated to a good cause, whether they're aware of it or not. I say let the preps make these bands be the latest craze for all the wrong reasons. A dollar donated from a guy who cares holds the same value as a dollar donated from someone who could care less.

<description>Man that is irritating! Especially when the military needs upgraded equipment to keep them alive (remember the soldier who said something to Rumsfeld? And the sad thing is that the military NEEDS charitable help because so many people complain about our tax dollars being used to fund the war - since it doesn't have the best support from US citizens. I'm glad I didn't buy one - but I do sport my yellow ribbon on my car since I'm waiting for my Airman to come home.

<description>It is very important to check out the charities to which one donates. My wife &#038; I discovered that one of the "charities" to which we used to donate gave something like 1.2% of the monies to the charity ($18,000 of $1.4M raised). Most charities like that are just telemarketing firms with a charity on the back side; we chose to quit giving money to the telemarketing firm.
