Will Smith…Geek?

Did you know that Will Smith was recruited by MIT? Yeah, me neither! He didn’t go because he “wanted to rap,” he says in a recent interview with Wired magazine. However, had he gone, he said that “computer engineering would’ve been the only way for me to go.” As you know, he’s currently starring in the sci-fi movie, “I, Robot,” an adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s classic story. The director asked the cast to read Ray Kurzweil’s “The Age of Spiritual Machines”, but Smith had already read it. He says that he “love(s) how (the author) captures the scientific elements and gives you all the real science you need to get on board but also extrapolates the potentiality, taking it to the ends of your imagination.” His words. Yeah, this guy is one smarty-pants. Who knew?
